There are several useful shortcuts for navigating on the map without scrolling across your nation or the world.
The mini-map in the upper right portion of the toolbar permits you to jump to any part of the world. This is useful for moving civilians, military, and naval units.
The magnifying glass button at the upper left corner of the toolbar allows you to see more of the world at once. This is often useful when moving fleets through large sea zones.
Clicking on a civilian unit in the toolbar centers the map on that civilian. Typing ‘C’ centers the map on the selected unit, or on your capital if no unit is selected.
Finally, your Explorer unit can be ordered to jump to a particular type of terrain to explore or prospect by clicking on one of the icons displayed in the toolbar when the explorer is selected.
